This is a wonderful community hub for everyone and they offer tons of interesting programs. The staff (myself included) try their hardest to meet any and all needs of the patrons. I love being a part of this library system.
Great and friendly people, but way too loud! I come to study, considering it is a library and should be a quiet place to do work, but it is not even quiet in the reading room. Usually, I am here with my daughter, so the talking does not bother. However, today I am trying to do some work and cannot run away from the noise. I have tried upstairs, downstairs, the wall coves by the windows. -__- Nothing! I have a house full of people, so I thought I would come here, but I think I may just have to send them on errands two-three times a week (just to have a quiet space, since I cannot even go to the library to find one). Goodness how the times have changed!!!!! *Faints*
My kids love the children's section here. It's always decorated with a fun theme. The people who work there have an obvious love for child education and literacy.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good atmosphere. Between Thomas and Hageman you can check out almost anything.
Thomas and all of Westchester Public Library ate some of the most helpful and well done libraries.
Thanks, but I mentioned the reading room. Employees were loud there, too. They went in moving chairs and talking loud. Most of the employees, right in in front of that section, are the ones making the noise. The other guests are quiet, from what I've seen. It's the employees making all the noise. Either way, I decided to try again today, a week later, and it was still the same. (This time, though, I asked for headphones!)
